How retailers can play their part
Although there is currently no registration process for retailers (distributors of finished products) under the FairWild certification scheme, there are a number of steps you can take to get involved!
REVIEW YOUR PRODUCTS
Review your products to identify wild plant ingredients. Wild plants are to be found in many products on our shelves – in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and foods. The first step involves reviewing your product lines to identify points of concern. and check out this guidance document "Wild at Home" to identify some of the species under pressure you might be selling. Get in touch with us if you'd like to find sources of help.
SOURCE FAIRWILD BRAND PRODUCTS
Source FairWild brand products and ingredients. Check out our list of brand manufacturers to find FairWild products you might be able to distribute. If you retail herbs directly to the public, you can also check out our list of suppliers to find sources of FairWild-certified ingredients.
